NO
ONE KNEW
Luke 2:6,
7; John 1:10-13
They were tired from days of travel
As they approached the town that night
Needing just a place to unravel
And having nothing left to fight
But how predictable... There was no room in the inn
Little did the innkeeper realize
That in his ignorance and bliss
He pushed the Savior of the world
Into a simple birth like this
How unexplainable... No one knew
No one knew He came to love
No one knew He came to save
No one knew He came to share
And no one knew He came to care
And no one knew He came to give His life away
No one knew
We are tired each day we live
From so much pain we have to give
And we often wonder why
And we just wish that we could die
And how predictable... The worst is yet to come
But because He came for me
Although the whole world could not see
I'll remember that Jesus died
And gave us hope to all inside
How unexplainable... No one knew
No one knew He came to give it all
So we could all be free
And no one knew He came to pay the price
That belonged to you and me
