Somewhere
long ago
You decided that You would go
And do what seemed absurd
Never saying a single word, and
Through the pain that screamed so loud
And all the shouts of those so proud
It looked like no one else could see
The life You bought for me, but...
I
believe
And I receive
The cup You drank for me
There in dark Gethsemane
And I'll be there
Cause nothing can compare
To the One who set me free
On the cross of Calvary
It's so easy
to forget
And it brings so much regret
How at times I did not care
Though my life You chose to spare
How could I forget that day
When You took my guilt away
And although no one else may see
The life You bought for me, still...
Someday I'll
see that blessed face
Of the One who died for me
And I will fall into His warm embrace
And we will share eternity
